Evaluator

The Evaluator will be responsible for providing screening and assessment services for clients at risk or diagnosed with chemical dependency or co-occurring chemical dependency and mental health disorders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct client assessments and evaluations, including screening for co-occurring disorders, determine the appropriate level of care, and implement referrals as clinically indicated
  • Assist in determining the funding stream for payment of services
  • Complete psychosocial assessment of each client
  • Facilitate and coordinate the client admission process
  • Make referrals for the appropriate level of care and/or to other resource agencies
  • Work with clients in treatment or waiting for treatment to effectively manage medical, financial, legal, or other issues that are barriers to successful completion of the treatment episode
  • Participating in staff development activities
  • Assist in the training and education of other staff members, interns, and students
  • Prepare all files according to standards and licensing requirements.
  • Attend all clinical staffing sessions and provide input as necessary.
  • Complete all required reporting on activities, including but not limited to monthly reports and weekly schedules.
  • Prepare billing materials for all services rendered.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of a Master's degree in a human services-related field with 2 years of experience and must have a Florida License (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus. 
  • Computer knowledge should include Microsoft applications (Word, Excel), and experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of the 12-step program in behavior modification, case management, and addiction.
