Family Support Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Monitoring patients and their children in the facility, charting behavioral observations and facilitating educational groups by performing the following duties.

SCOPE OF WORK

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.

1. Monitoring and charting patient interactions including interactions with patients and their children, their families, and members of the community.

2. Assisting with recreational, daily living activities, and child care activities

3. Monitoring, observation and documentation of medication.

4. Transporting patients and program participants as needed.

5. Submit incident reports as needed.

6. Ensure the living environment is safe and clean by promoting patient daily chores

7. Enforce Program rules and infant/child/toddler safety rules.

8. Conduct safety checks of patients and their infants regularly throughout shift.

9. Provide administrative support as required.

10. Provide support, encouragement and guidance as needed for new moms.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 - High School

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS


-Certificated Behavioral health Technician preferred

-Current Valid Florida Drivers License

RELATED EXPERIENCE

- One to Two Years

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Comfortable interacting with pregnant women and young children.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
