Foundation Director

The Foundation Director will spearhead the donor relations program and manage fundraising initiatives for the Ibis Healthcare Foundation. This role is essential in organizing and developing effective fundraising campaigns, engaging both current and prospective donors, and managing contributions from individuals and corporations. Additionally, the Director will oversee planned and annual giving campaigns to further enhance financial support for the Foundation. This position requires a strategic approach to foster and maintain valuable relationships with donors, ensuring the long-term success of fundraising efforts. Reports to and collaborates with the Foundation's Chief Impact Officer and Executive Director.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Foundation relationship and grant writing experience preferred. Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience in marketing and fundraising, Master's degree preferred, with 8 years' experience in marketing and fundraising. Ability to read and interpret journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers or members of the business community. Ability to write memos that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Fundamental knowledge of fundraising methods and techniques.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and oversee the annual fundraising and development program to support the organization's goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential individual and corporate donors and sponsors, while developing effective strategies to cultivate relationships.
  • Maintain positive relationships with private and corporate donors through ongoing, respectful communication, sustain funding base the goal of increasing the membership base.
  • Research and assessment of donation programs and opportunities available through local, state, and federal organizations, as well as various foundations.
  • Collaborate with special event chairs to strategically plan and successfully execute fundraising events
  • Coordinate speakers for promotional events, civic clubs, and fund solicitation.
  • Partner with team members in the organization and coordination of fundraising events and donor receptions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Create and produce print marketing materials associated with fundraising efforts in collaboration with the marketing department, including donor communications, newsletters, and annual reports.
  • Prepare post-event reports that analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising programs and events.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, fostering innovative ideas for fundraising initiatives.
  • Address sensitive issues with discretion to the Foundation Chief Director to maintain the organization's positive reputation, leading efforts in crisis management and public relations alongside the marketing team.
  • Actively participate in professional societies and activities to build relationships and identify donor opportunities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate tours of the organization for interested stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience.
