Foundation Director

Ibis Healthcare is a mission-driven behavioral health organization serving individuals and families across the Tampa Bay region. As we expand our programs and experience organizational growth, Ibis Healthcare Foundation is seeking a dynamic Director to lead key fundraising, communications, and community engagement initiatives.

This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-centered professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing donor strategy with hands-on execution.

The Director partners in donor development, managing a portfolio of supporters, and leads annual fundraising strategy, event execution, grant writing, and donor communications. This position plays a central role in cultivating philanthropic partnerships, elevating community visibility, and strengthening the organization’s fundraising infrastructure. The Director also supports board engagement and serves as a key liaison across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and donor stewardship.

Salary Range: $70,000-$78,000

Location: Tampa, FL (Non-Remote)

Reports To: Foundation Executive Director

Key Responsibilities:

Major Gifts & Leadership Giving

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects.
  • Develop individualized strategies for leadership-level gifts.
  • Partner with the Executive Director on top-tier donor strategy and joint solicitations.

Annual Fund & Campaign Leadership

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of the annual fundraising campaign.
  • In partnership with the Foundation Coordinator, develop multi-channel appeals, donor journeys, and stewardship plans.
  • Oversee peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives and volunteer fundraising efforts.
  • Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize results.

Event Planning & Community Engagement

  • Lead planning and execution of fundraising events, cultivation gatherings, and community presentations.
  • Represent Ibis Healthcare at community groups, civic organizations, and partner events.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure events are mission-aligned and donor-centered; lead facilitation of volunteer committees.

Grants & Institutional Giving

  • Manage and execute on a portfolio of grant submissions.
  • Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
  • Build relationships with foundations, corporate partners, and institutional funders.

Board & Leadership Support

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and materials for board and committee meetings.
  • Support board members in donor engagement and fundraising activities.
  • Provide strategic insights to leadership on fundraising trends and opportunities.

Marketing & Communications Liaison

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop donor-focused communications.
  • Oversee social media strategy, email campaigns, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all platforms.
  • Support development of marketing materials, impact reports, and campaign collateral.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, advancement, or nonprofit development.
  • Demonstrated success in securing leadership gifts and annual campaigns.
  • Strong writing skills, including grant writing and donor communications.
  • Experience planning and executing fundraising events.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to build authentic relationships with donors, partners, and community members.
  • Strong financial acumen.
