The Activity Specialist is considered one of Ibis Healthcare's advanced professionals that will provide direct therapeutic services to identified mental health and substance abuse clients. The therapist will be responsible for maintaining patient care in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.). The therapist will provide clinical services to the following populations: individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. In-office work environment within an adult crisis stabilization unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in a Human Services-related discipline and at least 1 year of experience in the behavioral health field. State of Florida registered interns with clear/active status preferred. Bilingual (English-Spanish) is recommended. Computer knowledge should include Microsoft applications (Word, Excel), and Electronic Medical Records is helpful. May provide clinical oversight in a multidisciplinary team.

Abilities in reaching, bending, talking, sitting, carrying, standing, grasping, fine hand coordination, the ability to hear, the ability to read and write, and the ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone. May be required to complete standing presentations involving speaking and listening to the audience.
