Driver BHT- Women's Residential
The Driver/Behavioral Health Technician for Women's Residential is primarily responsible for transporting clients to appointments arranged by the transportation coordinator and/or leadership. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and documenting behaviors within a 24/7 women's residential facility that focuses on recovery management. This position reports to the Program Supervisor or Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving history.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport clients as required (as approved by insurance provider)
- Assist with recreational activities and monitor medication administration.
- Monitor & chart client behavior during assigned shift and submit incident reports as needed.
- Participate in client staffing and team meetings.
- Perform Pre and post vehicle inspections, and House check, as required.
- Enforce house rules and curfew.
- Monitor urine drug screens.
- Provide administrative support as required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General climate-controlled health care setting.
- Most work completed entails operating motor vehicles.
- Interface with clients in an outpatient, residential, or acute care inpatient environment.
- Fast-paced teamwork environment requires multitasking; above-average time management skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Reaching, bending, talking, sitting, carrying, standing, grasping, fine hand coordination, hearing, reading, writing, and staying calm under stress. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision abilities required include close-up, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of lifting 10 pounds alone.
