Perinatal Licensed Counselor
The Perinatal Licensed Counselor will provide clinical intervention and case management for Pregnant and Postpartum women diagnosed with co-occurring OUD (opioid use disorder) and perinatal mental health disorders by performing established duties. Reports to the Program Supervisor.

- Requires one of the following current Florida Licenses: Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Human Services Field
- LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Experience with PPW preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age with a valid Florida Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and personal transportation
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage and motivate PPW at risk of OUD in a supportive role, both one-on-one and in groups, to help them accomplish service plan goals
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment interventions to address specific perinatal concerns related to OUD use.
- Provide individual counseling sessions, telephonic, telehealth, or in-person for Hillsborough County residents at risk or experiencing OUD/SUD.
- Provide education on recovery and treatment options, the disease of addiction, harm reduction, overdose prevention, and the use of Narcan.
- Develop discharge plans with clients that include provisions for co-occurring disorders if identified.
- Participate in patient case reviews and patient consult team meetings
- Coordinate pro-social activities for participants.
- Develop and review treatment plans as required
- Prepare and maintain clinical records within the required time frame
- Other duties as assigned.
