REGISTERED NURSE- ADULT Central Intake (Emergency Services)

Ibis Healthcare has been one of Tampa's largest behavioral and mental health facilities since 1949. We are currently hiring Registered Nurses for our adult emergency services for Central Intake, which encompasses voluntary and involuntary admissions. The adult inpatient treatment program is a 60-bed inpatient care facility providing therapeutic care services to individuals with behavioral, mental, and substance use disorders

• 20% additional Shift differential for Evenings and Overnight shifts
• 12Hr Shift: 8:00 AM- 8:30 PM or 8:00 PM -8:30 AM
• PRN Set Schedules available -minimum 4 shifts per month commitment
• Double Weekend shifts are available

JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health disorders based on a systematized body of knowledge. Oversees care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians. Utilizes nursing process, including assessment, identification of nursing problems, planning, execution, evaluation, and modification of nursing interventions as determined by patient outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess the physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients upon intake.
• Implement the plan of care based on skilled nursing standards and practice.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of nursing interventions defined in the plan of care.
• Ensure that Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses provide accurate and complete required documentation.
• Demonstrate competency in critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Monitor staff and the continuous workflow of the unit.
• Share professional and technical knowledge following policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an NLN-approved program
• A minimum of one year of psychiatric, mental, and/or behavioral patient care experience.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
