Clinical Coordinator-Court Svcs

The Clinical Coordinator is a senior-level professional who delivers expert clinical guidance and strategic recommendations for the reassessment of individuals involved with court services due to opioid use disorders. This role collaborates closely with community court services to manage, assess, and screen to determine appropriate care and treatment services for individuals affected by opioid, behavioral, and mental health conditions. The clinical coordinator will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and perform duties under the supervision of the Program Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in a related field of study, preferably in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Human Services, and/or active State of Florida clinical license or license eligible in one of the following: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred to meet the needs of a diverse population, but it is not required. Must have Minimum a valid Florida Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and personal transportation to travel to assigned locations and court appointments.
  • Computer knowledge should include proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Teams) and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as court documents or established funding guidelines, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to compose correspondence, reports, and articulate details before an audience, peers, or external partners and/or their representatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience working with adults or families with complex substance use and/or mental health related diagnosis; and direct experience coordinating behavioral health treatment
  • Must have significant knowledge and the ability to engage with resistant individuals with histories of non-compliance.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills during interactions with clients, stakeholders, and internal partners.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage referrals to determine eligibility and develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to the individual's needs, including but not limited to housing, substance use, mental health, psychosocial care, etc., and plan discharge when applicable.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams during staffings for plans of care initiatives and treatment services.
  • Determine clinical needs, provide guidance and introductions, encourage positive outcomes, and refer participants to appropriate care with internal or external partners within an established timeframe
  •  Provide ASAM and assessment results within three (3) business days of the assessment being complete
  • Monitor participant status continuously and provide timely, accurate updates on compliance and assessment progress.
  • Incorporate collateral assessment results (e.g., LS/CMI) into clinical evaluations
  • Document participants' demographic, logs, claims, and progress to maintain accurate records, for periodic reporting analysis
  • Attend court hearings to deliver participant testimonial progress, overall assessment results
  • Provide rapid response to assigned court delegate(s) and multi-disciplinary teams for participant missed or no-show appointments.
  • Assist participants with accessing Recovery Residence housing and related reimbursements
  • Adhere to all applicable HIPAA, federal, state, and local laws, as well as agency standards, to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all appointed participants
